World Dog Show 2018 / Benelux Winner 2018 / Specialties 2018

  1. The exhibitions are held under the patronage  of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale and under the responsibility of the Dutch Kennel Club ‘Raad van Beheer’.
  2. The exhibitions are held according to the rules and regulations of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale and the Raad van Beheer op Kynologisch Gebied in Nederland.
  3. De tentoonstellingen zullen worden gehouden op:
    • BENELUX WINNER Thursday 9th August 2018 – all FCI groups
    • WORLD DOG SHOW Friday 10th Augusts 2018 – FCI group 1, 3 and 4
    • WORLD DOG SHOW Saturday 11th August 2018 – FCI group 6, 7, 8 and 10
    • WORLD DOG SHOW Sunday 12th August 2018 – FCI group 2, 5 and 9
    • SPECIALTIES Friday 10th August 2018 – FCI group 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10
    • SPECIALTIES Saturday 11th August 2018 – FCI group 1, 2, 3 and 4
    • in the RAI  exhibition centre, Amsterdam or, if special circumstances require change, on a location and date to be determined by the board.
  4. Completed registrations and payments must be received by 11 July 2018 via the online registration system. Once the number of dogs that can be placed has been reached, the registration will be closed earlier. The board reserves the right to change the closing date if the date of the exhibitions are changed (see point 3.).Inlichtingen zijn verkrijgbaar bij het secretariaat.
  5. Only dogs with an official  FCI pedigree or acknowledged by the FCI can be entered. If the owner of the dog lives in the Netherlands the dog must be registered in the NHSB (reregistration of imported dogs for Dutch residents in the NHSB is required).
  6. Registration should always be according to the name and address of the first owner, as recorded on the owners certificate or pedigree. Dogs with foreign (other than NHSB) pedigree numbers can never be entered with a Dutch address. If the dog is in possession of an owner with an address outside the Netherlands, but the dog stays in the Netherlands one can ask that the papers will be sent to a forwarding address.  All correspondence will be sent by e-mail. If you want to receive information per post mail, you can file a request with the secretary (contact form).
  7. Entry obliges the sender / exhibitor to pay the entry fee. Entry without (direct) payment is not possible. Payment after closing date (11-7-2018) or on the day of the show is not allowed.
  8. Online entry form will be considered as your signature and therefore your agreement with the rules. You Online inschrijven staat gelijk aan ondertekenen en is daarmee uw akkoord met de gestelde regels. You can never rely on unfamiliarity with the rules.
  9. For all dogs entering the exhibition area (incl. visiting dogs and/or dogs for demonstration) one must have -and be able to show- proof of vaccination/European dog passport. Official titer results (provided to be entered in the passport by a official veterinarian) are accepted.
  10. Once entered, withdrawal and/or replacing for another dog is not permitted.
  11. By entering the shows you agree to the fact that your data can be used for the show, the championships and eventual partners, as well as for activities of the Dutch Kennel Club “Raad van Beheer”
  12. The exhibitor states that, by enrolling for the Show, he accepts the legal authority of the “Vereniging Raad van Beheer op Kynologisch Gebied in Nederland” (Dutch Kennel Club) and the operation of the “Kynologisch Reglement” (Kennel Club Rules) and that he may be considered to be familiar with these rules.
  13. The exhibitor states that the dog entered is completely vaccinated against distemper, parvo and HCC and, coming from abroad against rabies. Proof of vaccination can be asked for. Furthermore the exhibitor states that the dog he has entered has not, to his knowledge, during the last 12 weeks been in circumstances where there might have been danger of infection with canine distemper, or any other disease, and that he will not present his dog if such circumstances should occur between now and the day of the Show.  Circumstances as mentioned before are beyond our control and the responsibility of the owner/exhibitor and therefore the entry fee will not be repaid. Official titer results are accepted in the Netherlands. Please note that vaccination against Leptospirosis is not officially required, but recommended  by the authorities.
  14. The exhibitor states that the dog he has entered has not had its ears cropped. Dogs with cropped ears, in whatever country they are born, are not allowed to participate in the Netherlands (Dutch law).
  15. A dog that has had its tail docked and was born in the Netherlands after 31 August 2001 or abroad after the legal ban on docking was in force there, cannot participate in the exhibition. Dogs with docked tails can participate in these shows providing the docking was the result of a medical necessity. The statement concerning the required amputation has to be entered in the European animal passport by a practicing veterinarian. This statement should be made available for inspection during the exhibition. Furthermore dogs with docked tails can participate in these shows providing they were born in a country without a legal ban on docking or born before the legal ban on docking was in force. If so, please mention the country of birth with your entry Not allowed: a. Dogs with an ear or skin condition. B. Males who are not in possession of two normal testicles who have fully descended into the scrotum, unless they are enrolled exclusively for an (sport)match or demonstration. Registration of the above-mentioned dogs with “conditions” is the responsibility of the exhibitor / owner and in case one or more of these “conditions” is detected, the registration fee will not be refunded.
  16. Classes that can be entered. For the age you need to count to the exact day the dog will be judged. It is not permitted to enter the same dog in more than one class. 1. Minor Puppy class: for dogs that at the day of the event have reached the age of minimum 4 months but not yet 6 months (CAC/CACIB not possible).2. Puppy class: for dogs that at the day of the event have reached the age of minimum 6 months but not yet 9 months (CAC/CACIB not possible). 3. Junior class: for dogs that at the day of the event have reached the age of minimum 9 months but not yet 18 months (CACIB not possible). 4. Intermediate class: for dogs that at the day of the event have reached the age of minimum 15 months but not yet 24 months. 5. Open class: for dogs that at the day of the event have reached the age of minimum 15 months. 6. Working class: for working dogs that at the day of the event have reached the age of minimum 15 months. There must be attached a copy of the statement that the relevant dog is permitted to compete in the working class, issued by the ruling organization of the country of residence of the owner of the dog. If the copy of this statement is not attached the dog will be entered in the open class. 7. Champion class: for dogs that at the day of the event have reached the age of minimum 15 months with a National or International champion title (This class is not open for dogs with other titles). The Champion titles must be stated on the entry form. Attached to the entry form there must be a photocopy of one of the awards, officially issued by the ruling organization. If the copy of this statement is not included the dog will be entered in the open class. 8. Veteran class: for dogs that at the day of the event have reached the age of 8 years. CACIB is not possible in this class.
  17. Other competitions. Together with your dog’s entry you can enter (Benelux Winner Show and the World Dog Show) for the following competitions: Brace/Couple, Progeny groups, Breeders Groups en Junior Handling.  Please see our website for more information and entry fees.
  18. Judging at the Benelux Winner Show and World Dog Show starts at 09.00 hrs.  Judging at the specialties, including the Welt Union Teckel and the FCI Euro Sighthound show will start at 14:00 hrs.
  19. Judging in the main ring (Benelux Winner Show and World Dog Show) will start at approximately 16:00 hours or earlier/later when the organization considers this desirable.
  20. For dogs and exhibitors the exhibition centre will be open as from 07.30 hrs.
  21. The secretary (information) will be open from 07.30
  22. Every exhibitor accepts the findings of the judge. Every shown dog will be considered to be judged. If the judge dismisses a dog, for whatever reason, this dog is considered to be judged.
  23. (Art. VI.17  rules of the Dutch Kennel Club): a. Par-force and/or other material to force the dogs are forbidden at the Dutch Shows.  b. Double-handling is also not allowed.
  24. At the Benelux Winner Show the CACIB can be awarded to all FCI recognized breeds  (subject to confirmation by the FCI) and the (double) CAC, subject to confirmation by the Dutch Kennel Club ‘Raad van Beheer’. Besides that the titles Benelux Junior Winner, Benelux Winner and Benelux Veteran Winner will be awarded. For more information please see: Titles and Qualifications.
  25. At the World Dog Show the CACIB can be awarded to all FCI recognized breeds  (subject to confirmation by the FCI) and the (double) CAC, subject to confirmation by the Dutch Kennel Club ‘Raad van Beheer’. Besides that the titles Junior World Winner, World Winner and Veteran World Winner will be awarded. For more information please see: Titles and Qualifications.
  26. It is possible to place shops/trad stands in the exhibition centre. Reservations have to be made upfront. Please see our website under STANDS
  27. Dealing in dogs (buying and/or selling), in and around the exhibition building,  is not permitted. This applies not only to the registered dogs, but also for the “non-registered for judging dogs” and / or visiting dogs.
  28. Any damage by visitor, shop owner, exhibitor or dog, can never be claimed with the organization of this show.
  29. If, in case of force majeure and/or in the interest or the wellbeing of the dogs, the exhibition has to be cancelled, there will be no full refund of the entry fee. In case of emergencies the organization considers itself not bound by the obligation to refund the entry fee in whole or in part.
  30. Ignorance of the rules can never be invoked as grounds for withdrawal and/or non-payment of the registration fee.
  31. Entry fees ar subject to classes and terms of entry/payment. Please see the information at our website under classes and under entry fees.  Please note that there is a discount for the second (and following) dog if you enter more dogs for the same exhibition.
  32. We have an online entry system. If, whatever the reason, it is impossible for you to enter online, please contact the secretary (contact form). The secretary will then – together with you – try ing to find a solution to enter for the show(s).
