At the age of 8 years I have got my first dog "Andy" a blak poodle, who shared my life for 19 years. My deceased husband and I imported American Akita as well as Akita from the USA and Japan and in 1984 we started breeding for some years. Out of our litters are World Youth Winner and German Kennel Club Bundes- and European Winners.
In the meantime I'm involved in the Akita breed for 38 years; member of the German Akita Club since January 1980 and honorary member since September 2003. Since 1984 I am board member of the German Akita Club, since nearly 12 years President. Since 2000 I'm vice-president of the World Union of the Akita Clubs (WUAC) and responsible for the WUAC health section.
Besides the engagement for the Club I started the judge education at the German Kennel Club (VDH) and finished in 1988 as special judge for Akita. In 1994 I finished as special judge for all Nordic and Japanese breeds.
Now I am FCI group 5, 7 and 10 judge and special judge for Australian Shepherds.
