Ever since my earliest youth I was interested in dogs and at the age of 15 I started with dog sports. My first dogs were Hovawarts with which I successfully operated training, as well presenting them on shows with success. I bred some litters as well at a kennel-community under the prefix "aus der Gartenschenke". Later, I lost my heart to Greyhounds and owned for some years Afghans and Borzois, in addition a Basset Hound as a "mascot". With the moving to Erfurt a breed had to be found who considers herself in a big city and so my friends showed me the terriers.

First I owned West Highland white terriers but for several years Border terriers are my constant companions. I believe that I am not able to be separated from this wonderful breed anymore. Three years ago a Pug joined my companion too.

In 1986 I became judge for four terrier breeds in the former GDR and with the reunification of Germany I gradually extended to all breeds of the terrier group which are cared for by the Klub für Terrier. Since 2005 I am judge for the entire FCI group 3, since 2009 also for the FCI group 9 and since 2012 for the FCI group 10. Besides, I'm special breed judge for Russian Black Terrier and White Swiss Shepherd Dog and for junior-handling too. Since June 2014 “Best in Show”.

Since the German reunification and the merger of the respective roof federations of breeding societies in Germany I am a responsible for breeding, chairmen of the VDH regional organization Thuringia. I am particularly proud that we organized the first international CACIB in Erfurt in the year 2000 where I was exhibition director and still acting up today. It was a beautiful event, which has become a tradition and we manage to run this international dog show now every year.

As a judge I was honoured to join shows in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, the Nederland. When judging a race I pay special attention to the points of standard in each case.

I make differences if a dog is shown at the champion class, and/or whether it is a beginner, which is also applied to the handler. As a judge I should also have a sense these "newcomers" and give them appropriate advices along the way because they are supposed to come back to shows and join their hobby! I confess that take care specially to the junior handling – judging this is a very great pleasure for me because this children and young people are our exhibitors from tomorrow, without them exhibitions could not take place any longer! It will be a great pleasure to participate on your show as a judge and I am looking forward to meet you and our four-legged friends there!
